Moon Shot
I took this photo of the moon from the Ferry Tarmac while I was waiting to catch the morning ferry back here from the island. It seemed easy to take it in daylight. Haven't mastered a night time shot yet that has actually turned out.

I think I read in the newspaper today (or maybe it was yesterday) that today the Moon is the closest to earth it will be for 18 years.
I'm wishing the cloud cover would blow off so I can hopefully get outside and get some photos.....course - since I didn't see the sun today I dunno why I'm thinking I'm gonna see the moon.

I am really jealous of all you folks further up country....but today we have sunshine and, who knows, it might stay clear this evening.
Great pictures all of you It is such a difficult subject when it is SO bright
Edit:
PS. Are any of you using ND filters to get those shots? And what sort of settings are you using? Moon rises here at 4.56pm so I shall be looking out and hoping to get something.....it would be a first because I have never had much success with moon shots.
