Re: KIYA LAS VEGAS
I agree with you all that these animals should be allowed to live in the wild, on saying that they all looked healthy and happy.
Yes LLL they did have a show with their animals , but what I've read Roy had a stroke or heart attack on stage and one of the animals took him by the neck and pulled him off stage at the same time the animal burst one of his main arteries in the neck, if not he could have been a lot worse of with the arteries blocked and brain damaged.
I leave it to you all to have your own thoughts on this, but it does take a bit of believing on this story.
Just as we were coming out I spotted a man coming towards us, I thought he's a dapper with all his sparkles on his jacket, it was no other than Siegfried himself, he introduced himself and we spoke for a few minutes, then he did a trick on my hand and this coin appeared , I have it my purse now for good luck.

WOW! Kiya that's more like it, rich boys toys.
Can you imagine how that shiny silver E type would look around town at night with all the lights reflecting off it.......bl**dy brilliant
I bet Roy was in his element when you went there. Super pictures of some super motors....

Re: KIYA LAS VEGAS
I thought you would like these Grandad
There was only one without ropes around it so I asked Roy to go beside it for
photo...............he's wishing
I think this was the only place to get in for free , but we did put in their charity box.
Roy couldn't afford any of the cars for sale so had to be content buying a Shelby
zippo lighter.
Yes I'm sure the silver one would dazzle in the dark

Re: KIYA LAS VEGAS
The cars are lovely and like Grandad said "rich boys toys" as in REAL RICH BOYS! Wow - don't think I've ever seen like this on the Island. Any one of those cars would stick out totally - but they're nice however I'm happy with my car.

Re: KIYA LAS VEGAS
WOO HOO - I absolutely LOVE aquariums! I could spend hours and hours and hours staring at and watching fish. There is some so quiet, calming and sedate about the entire thing therefore LOVE these pictures.
When I was young and in my prime I used to snorkel. Not scuba dive but snorkel so basically was floating my way through the water. Went to Hanuma Bay in Hawaii which is a snorkelers paradise. I couldn't believe the colours of the fish and how vibrant they were.
Love those aquarium pictures

Re: KIYA LAS VEGAS
Some exotic looking fish there Kiya and you did very well to get such good pictures through the glass. Well done
I have never actually visited an aquarium like that. I can well imagine it must be quite exiting walking through a glass tunnel under the water.
And it looks as if the tank was big enough for the larger animals to have plenty of space. That is OK with me, at least they didn't have to perform tricks
@LovelyLadyLux
You mention snorkeling LLL. One of my great pleasures when our children were small'ish was to snorkel with all three when we were on holiday. They are all good swimmers and it was such fun....but.....you mention snorkeling on the surface? That is not the way to do it the idea is that you dive down and just come up for air via the snorkel

Re: KIYA LAS VEGAS
@Grandad - I'd snorkel for hours. Honestly it was one of my most favourite things to do in the whole wide world. I'd swim, dive, hover - I'd do anything to be able to watch a fish. The most remarkable thing too is once you're underwater fish think you're one of them.

Re: KIYA LAS VEGAS
@ Grandad it was a little bit scary walking through the tunnel and to see all that amount of water on top of you.
I tried to get a photo of the shark swimming over the top of me, but didn't come out very well.
Some parts of the aquarium is built as a ship wreck, your inside looking out

Re: KIYA LAS VEGAS
Kiya, those signs are huge, but I suppose they would need to be when situated on top of a building.
Were they all from Vegas or around the US? And are they actually illuminated?
Big and brash.....that's the American way

Re: KIYA LAS VEGAS
@ Grandad as said above they are from casinos/hotels and other businesses, I'm
guessing all from Las Vegas. If you zoom in you will see all the bulbs that illuminate
them and best seen when dark but, we had another show for that evening

Re: KIYA LAS VEGAS
Very interesting photos and quite a novel idea for a museum. The signs are a bit of history and a couple I've seen in passing over the years in other shows & movies. I had no idea they were down, gone and now in a Neon Museum. Was thinking as I looked at the photos that seeing those signs lit up at night would be quite awesome. Hope they're still able to light up.

Re: KIYA LAS VEGAS
Wow! Some pretty impressive taxidermy there Kiya.
But were the Egyptian artifacts in the same "Natural History Museum"? Seems an odd mix. And were those 'artifacts' genuine and original?
Sorry to cast doubt but as we all know, everything in Vegas is larger than life and I have a problem separating the unreal from the genuine....
Sorry but I have a suspicious nature.
Another really good set of pictures though, and the artifact labels are clearly readable

Re: KIYA LAS VEGAS
@ Grandad, I just did a search on this museum and found the Egyptian parts are
replicas as it shows here https://www.lvnhm.org/ not sure if this link will open ?
but you can open each link once that main link is open (hope you understand me )
There was other things to see like the dinosaurs etc etc but, my dinosaur photos
seem to have disappeared also marine life etc etc.

Re: KIYA LAS VEGAS
Great photos of the animals and that is interesting of all things they do a mix with King Tut! BUT in Las Vegas there doesn't seem to be any limits on anything about anything. All in all very interesting.
We have a store here "Cabelas" and all through the store which sells outdoor hunting/fishing/rifles& guns/canoeing/camping gear are mounted taxidermy animals of Canada. All the displays are quite interesting and at the back of the store they have a large area with ALL animals of Canada set up in natural scene. It really gives a sense of how big some of them really are. Grandkids love going to see them.
Hopefully you can find the dinosaurs and marine life photos. Be interested in seeing them.

Re: KIYA LAS VEGAS
Kiya, the links worked OK. Although replicas I am sure they would be difficult to distinguish from th e originals.
