Time Change
Tonight we put our clocks back 1 hour. Seems a very antiquated action and have no idea why we keep doing it as it seems an annoying time waster. I also quite hate changing the time on the car as I never remember how to do it and have to sit and read the manual every 6 months to figure it out.

Re: Time Change
We have already done ours last week, so now it is dark by 5 pm a waste of time if you ask me and yes the car clock is a pain in the bum.

Re: Time Change
Hope you enjoyed an extra hour in bed LLL
When we were on the cruise on the way home, on Wednesday evening we had to put our watches forward one hour as we approached Spain. Then on Friday we put our watches back one hour to UK time. Then after arriving home on Saturday we put our watches back another hour to GMT for the winter months. Very confusing.

Re: Time Change
@Grandad - now that you mention the forward backward backward forward time changes I remember those when cruising. Quite confusing and not good for the internal body clock.
If you had to live forever with either daylight saving or turn the clock back in the fall time which would you pick?

Re: Time Change
We are on GMT now and I would keep it that way. Iceland uses GMT all year so why can't we?LovelyLadyLux wrote:@Grandad - now that you mention the forward backward backward forward time changes I remember those when cruising. Quite confusing and not good for the internal body clock.

Something I can never understand is why some countries use a half hour difference, like India which is GMT +5 1/2
And international time zones are even more confusing when they change to and from summer times at different times. Like Canada, a week after Europe. Must be a real headache for airlines.

Re: Time Change
I'd be OK living with either and would either wake up earlier or go to sleep later or whatever if I wanted to enjoy sunshine and daylight.
