Kiya, you will find it here viewtopic.php?f=32&t=4713

It was the Saga Sapphire that we went on. It takes around 700 passengers, the Saga Pearl II is smaller and takes about 400+.

Kiya the jury is out on whether or not we will do a cruise as opposed to the 4 night sampler that we did at the beginning of the month.
What I like about Saga ships is that they look like real old fashioned liners and onboard they maintain that feel. The new monster ships don't appeal at all, not least because of the 'Mass Tourism' aspect as LLL described it. We have been to Dubrovnik 3 times and when there are three cruise ships in port or moored offshore, there are around 8,000 people arriving in the city en masse for their 4 hour whistle stop visit. Then on to the buses or tenders back to the ship and move on to the next port.
We like to do our own thing in our own time so cruising is probably not for us........but never say never ;)

I've been quite liking Puerto Vallarta in Mexico. Quaint little city not unlike Luxor. Half full of expats and a focus on catering to tourists in a warm inviting climate. They have built cruise ship terminals and can house THREE cruise ships at one go so whilst the streets are not crowded at all IF the cruise ships pull in and each dumps 3 to 4 THOUSAND people that little town overcrowds quite quickly.

Grandad..... it's a shame you don't really like to cruise but, I suppose not worth doing again if you don't enjoy. :)
