Definitely I'll take one of the rooms too - matter of fact I just need a bed in a room! Hopefully it all works out MD!
I'm waiting the dtr and grddtr who will come for a cuppa then we're off to a carpet store to look at all the neutral beige blah colored carpets for a bedroom. Nothing too exciting at all today but so far, no wood.

Re: What are you doing today?
Today i have been mainly recovering from yesterdays drinking I had suggested my mum and her gentleman friend, my brother an his wife joined me for dinner at a very lovely local cantonese restaurant. I think yesterday was the first time my birthday has fallen on chinese new year... which i only discovered on Saturday afternoon, and had to frantically panic and ring the place to find there was one table left only. My birthday ended up being celebrated with chinese dragons and martial arts displays... and a lot of wine
Today was a gentle day as a result. We got Omar signed off by the docs as officially fit and healthy after the heart attack, and then we took my birthday money to marks and sparks and upgraded our jeans and a few shirts.
I am now back at my desk finishing off the days paperwork... or rather reading far more interesting internet while pretending to work

Re: What are you doing today?
Many Happy Returns for yesterday Robbo
It seems that so many excellent folks have their birthdays in this month
I am glad that you are feeling a bit fragile as it shows that you enjoyed yourself
Also very pleased to hear that Omar is fully recovered and off the iffy list so ease him in steady like and don't go overworking him.

Re: What are you doing today?
No news yet as to how many cars we need.
Lovely day pity I can't walk as far as the doctor's to put in my repeat prescription - still I'll get a taxi hobble in and leave the scrip and back in the taxi. It will take 10 minutes outside, but nice just the same.

Re: What are you doing today?
My day is much like MD's except it is dull and quite cold.
I needed a blood test at the hospital for the 'Annual medication review'. As I have mentioned, I had one blood test last Friday but that only needed 2 coloured bottles of blood. Todays needed an extra coloured one so some duplication really. Following last Fridays visit to the Doc, he is going to talk to me on Friday by telephone appointment.
Won't be long and they will work from home using Skype

Sorry to be so late with the birthday wishes, Robbo, but it sounds as though you enjoyed it anyway!

Re: What are you doing today?
I reckon that Robbo is still hung over
I shall be off shopping as usual today, also call in the doc's/chemists for a prescription, shopping takes me ages as I never quite know what to buy. Need to pop into the bank and maybe move a few quid to pay for my new Telly as my mastercard will be a bit heavy this month. I was also trying to figure out something nice for my own next week, but may just settle for getting myself a nice bottle of wine and a posh meal. Weather looks good at the moment, but whether or not I have the time to fit a walk in is debatable, although with the brighter weather of late the days have been staying lighter for longer, around 5 ish now.

Re: What are you doing today?
Yep! Thursday is shopping day for us as well. I think I have mentioned before that I get the heavies, milk, bread, wine, beer then sit in the car while Mrs G does the rest.....we never shop together, I get on her nerves.
Heavy frost this morning but looking nice and bright now

Re: What are you doing today?
I've had a very productive morning re. housework, BP is now down so will have a cup of coffee and a bit to eat then back to the battle. Its so nice to be able to do it, even if with frequent rests.
Still no idea if I'm going to have 5 people staying the night on Sunday - or how many of us are going on The Trip. Hope we are going to be able to get a decent car, bit last minute I think.

Re: What are you doing today?
After shopping and some lunch, the sun was shining so I thought I would go and get some snaps of the daffs around the city wall. By the time I got there it had clouded over quite dull but here is one snap, a bit down on colour. The daffs are early this years and as a result have very short stems.
