I'm absolutely bloody horrified at that story! If her husband was prepared to allow her to do it, her parents shouldn't have! :stp :td

I'm not saying she couldn't have done it, many women are up on their feet pretty soon after and cope with a new baby, its just the principle of those other lazy B's letting her do it. ;)

Don't believe how it was worded in The Mail....all to make her look heroic.....her mum and dad were there to help and I don't think it is justified to bad mouth the menfolk who you don't know and you don't know the whole story.

Having a baby is the most natural thing for a woman and provided there are no complications most recover very quickly.

Hmmm - my post disappeared! BUT I basically said that my dtr went into labour in the evening, had the baby in the wee hours and was home by 3pm. Granted she wasn't up cooking and cleaning but was moving around quite easily.

WE all (us two Grandmas) were there to take on household tasks for about 2 weeks.

I don't think I would have allowed my daughter to take on a full day of cooking and cleaning.
