Re: WEATHER REPORTS FROM EVERYONE.
Sorry folks but it's been lovely these last few days, it went a bit chilly but seems to have warmed up again. Went out today took my cardi but too warm to use it.
Been watching the news and the weather in the North of UK sounds absolutely appalling. Hope you are OK in the Pool Robbo.

Yes carrie the weather has been horrible, wet and often windy, plus the early dark nights, I envy your nice weather and could do with some myself at the moment.

Re: WEATHER REPORTS FROM EVERYONE.
We have been lucky so far, although we have gale force winds forecast for Tuesday night When you look at areas of Manchester that have been badly flooded, that's only about 25 miles away from me.
I am noticing on friends photos in Luxor, there are a few cardigans on view, or very bright orange glows from the electric heaters in the night pictures. Guessing its at that chilly point of winter over there Nothing like as bloody chilly as my night times though

Re: WEATHER REPORTS FROM EVERYONE.
I am sure we will pay the price of all this mild weather later, but I won't complain if we get away with it. I don't think I have recorded a daytime temperature below 12 degrees and today it was 13 early afternoon. This collage is a few from going into town and the supermarket this morning. The sunrise was at Deal this morning, not my picture though. I must attribute that to Rob Palmer-Wilson on FB Dover Photographic Group

Heavy drizzle and totally grey. The drizzle is slowly washing the snow away but if we now get a freeze we're all going to be up the creek without a paddle. It'll just be slip sliding away. Don't think I'm going to be moving outside at all today.

You lot in the South East certainly live in a dream world, the rest of us are soaking wet, havn't seen the sun for weeks and you tell us that we may have to pay for this MILD weather, talk about a North South divide, if you had a tenth of the water down there Cameron would be declaring a state of emergency, if a single tree falls over they call it a hurricane.

Re: WEATHER REPORTS FROM EVERYONE.
No H. Our measure of a hurricane is if your hat blows off or your umbrella turns inside out. But the last time that happened was in 1897 according to local records...

Re: WEATHER REPORTS FROM EVERYONE.
Nice little coastal town Carrie and like all towns around the coast it has its old part with narrow streets and nice old properties. Hints of smuggling and fishing boats pulled up on the shingle beach. I hope you enjoy your visit.

Re: WEATHER REPORTS FROM EVERYONE.
@Grandad - last couple of years you posted photos of your town all duded up for Christmas. Did you get any this year? Do they do the town up different each and every year or do they follow the same theme every year?
Curious as your town photos definitely always carry a definite historic touch that is really nice.

Re: WEATHER REPORTS FROM EVERYONE.
I didn't get into town after dark this year LLL. As we have said, photography has been on the back burner for a few months. The decoration is much the same each year and together with the Christmas market in a square the city does look very seasonal.

Re: WEATHER REPORTS FROM EVERYONE.
I hope you find this post Carrie. Here is a collage of a couple of my pics in Deal (I often collage pictures to save space in my E4U album ). There is one of a fishing boat pulled up on the beach with its lobster pots. Deal does not have a proper harbour so the boats are winched up onto the beach The other is Beach Street with The Kings Head pub and the Time Ball Tower in the background.
