Re: Dancing with Happiness
That chap is pretty well travelled. Lots of places there that I have not been to, and probably won't. Many that I have been to were not included so that balances things a little.
A very happy vid and I was somewhat surprised to see Pyongyang included but of course those people would have been DIRECTED to take part.....no freedom of expression in North Korea.

Re: Dancing with Happiness
Gee MD I had to go back and look at the video again and - 'nope' nary a tear outta me
I will make an admission so long as you all SWEAR to SECRECY - towards the end of this video there is a group of women from Port of Spain, Trinidad dressed in the head dress/beaded bras, bikini bottoms etc etc (SHHH - Secrecy is paramount - I have that outfit in flame red!! HOWEVER I'll never say where & when I wore it OR what I was doing there in Trinidad when I wore it!!!! ) The big feathered head dresses are a bit of a pain too
I have seen some really phenomenal dancing in some of the remoter areas of the world too. Hindu men in Trinidad are phenomenal dancers and often, at weddings and other gatherings, will have dance offs. The moves to a Caribbean beat are fantastic and they can dance for hours.
In the video there was also a clip of the Saudi guys dancing. They dance here too however it always seems to me the Thobes somewhat impede the flashing feet and from the solemn pictures of them always shown on TV it is quite different to watch them dance and twirl the Agals (the double cords that hold the ghutra (scarves) in place). I have never yet seen any of the Saudi women dance. Am sure they can and do but not at all like the men who can openly "cut a rug" when the mood strikes them.
