Murder
It IS going to be murder if the crows do not stop absolutely screaming here at 4am. Since the weekend each and every morning they've cracked the dawn with loud shrill raucous screams. Then about 8:30/9am they go quiet but for the wee morning hours they've just been going in high gear. Not sure at all what is going on but this is the 3rd or 4th morning in a row that they've woke the dead. Wonder if this is why they refer to "A Murder of Crows." Definitely sounds like they're murdering somebody or something!

Re: Murder
OMG NO - not the starlings! Actually I really haven't seen too many around here but they are here. I've seen them in huge flocks back east and while they're not really a pretty bird their big flocks can be dramatic.
I dunno what has the crows going on so much early morning but they're totally loud and just screaming. I can understand one morning when they're screaming loud but this has been about 4 mornings running and then they just go quiet........

Re: Murder
The crows are still screaming and now even the neighbours are noticing as the screaming starts at first light and carries on in high gear for hours 'til about 10am-ish then silence.
What would make crows carry on for weeks on end and only in the mornings?

Re: Murder
Welll - after my last night post - I was really tired and had the crows + early morning wakeups on my mind - I slept 'til 7:30am this morning as I haven't heard a peep from them.........NOW I need to know why today there has been total silence!

Re: Murder
Silence reigns again. Have no idea what had the crows in such an uproar in the wee early hours but they definitely were just screaming! Now - nada.......
