Four life sentences
That is how my wife describes it, "Four life sentences with remission of course"
60 years ago this is how we looked. We look a bit different now
Just going out to lunch together today then we will have a family gathering when we can get everybody together......all have busy lives.

Thanks for you nice comments folks.
She won't thank me for posting this, hates her own photos. This is a most recent selfie.

Re: Four life sentences
Yes LLL. I do have one although the kids seem to manage without one.LovelyLadyLux wrote:Still look wonderful (as per your last posted selfie) Are you using a selfie stick?

Re: Four life sentences
I think the kids are managing without one cause they've now grown extra long THUMBS for pressing all the buttons so they don't need a selfie stick!
And.......when you got married and were in the RAF did they give you extra time off? Or ? Way back when were there any perks or bonuses for getting married?

Re: Four life sentences
@LovelyLadyLux LLL, I was not a regular serviceman. When I was called up for National Service (conscription) on completion of my apprenticeship, I opted to do an extra year making 3 years in total. A two year conscript was paid £2 17s 6d a week. As a tradesman I was paid £11 a week so a) it helped to save to get married and b) I stayed in my trade. As things turned out I was discharged after about 30 months on medical grounds (some months after we married) but went straight into employment as a draftsman with a London company as mentioned in another thread.

Re: Four life sentences
Just popped in Grandad, so congratulations to you and Mrs G, she looks lovely as ever We managed 3 life sentences and a bit but loved every minute of being 'in jail'. Here is to you both getting NO remission of sentence and NO time off for good behaviour.

Re: Four life sentences
Thank you H.. I had wondered if you might find a hot spot. Well done for achieving three life sentences, sad it wasn't more but you have your treasured memories that no one can take away.
I hope your trip is going well. Tell us about it after your return. Safe motoring.
