I think the narrow streets are quaint some like the side streets of Rome, narrow though they be but, still room for all their bill boards Grandad :) & for visitors passing :)

Its always surprising what you find down them narrow streets :)

I struggled 3 years ago ladies, this year I didn't even try. Taxi from outside the wall to the top for the cable car, then taxi back down to the bottom afterwards. ;) :lol:

But they really are quaint little alleys with, as Kiya says, all sorts of little places to find.

Very interesting photo Grandad of how close in the city has been built. I realize it was built a long time ago but I do kinda wonder how it was built and why so close in as then absolutely everything would have to be carried by hand.

Carrying by hand takes LOTS of energy and, to my thinking, usually people try to find easier ways to do things so it just makes it curious to me as to the rational for building so close.

Just makes me think and wonder and try to figure it all out ;)
