Don't have a camera phone but I have seen people using them via holding them out at arms length (wobble?) and looking onto the screen then snapping away. I'd think this would be perfect for adding to a conversation as Horus suggests but would lack for serious photography.

I do think, however, that if you had a decent camera phone and were used to using it so that it was easy to snap away you could definite share your purchases, holidays, trips etc with the friends and family back home in almost real time. Be FUN! :up :up

LLL the new smartphones might look complex to use with all the features from using it as a phone to a laptop to a camera, yet they are very simple to use.

The lady (68yrs old) who lives above me bought my Samsung Galaxy S3 of me after I showed her what it could do and that it will be easier and cheaper to keep in touch with her friends family in the UK. She had a laptop and could not use that to email people (on most occasion stuff was not sent etc), her old phone was just an old mono screen push button phone.

After little instructions from me, she now uses facebook, emails her friends and family, speaks on skype and viber (with or without video) plays her music, take photos and lots more, she has only had it a few weeks now :)

They are so simple just press the icon of the program you want to open, if there is a newer version of a program it automaticaly updates, if you cant be bothered to press an icon to speak to your phone and say (for example) open email, open facebook, send email to Horus, then speak your message, then say send, it is very accurate in recognizing your voice, I would say 98% of times it gets it right :) you can ask the phone anything, where am I, what is the weather today you could even ask it how do i make spaghetti bolognese the list is endless so I will stop now
