Orphanages or organisations working for children welfare

Post by Miriamkhalifa »

Just a little research,

Would be interrested to know about any organisations or orphanages, to see their websites, know of anything you can tell me about these, see pictures from visits, read newsletters, articles and so on. Anywhere in Egypt.

Anyone?

Mirry, if you search on the Blue side, you will find a few posts, including one by me recently:

http://www.luxor4u.com/forum/viewtopic. ... eaa61e4411

While L4u is MIA, you can Google "Egypt charities" or "Luxor charities", until the search party comes back :sl: . One that's in Luxor is Sunshine Orphanage. :wi

Mirry - I have an abundance of info re: Child Welfare.......more info than can be crammed into my brain and probably put down on paper. Are you researching something specific? Or general info? I can 'maybe' help.....maybe.........

Thanks a lot! :D LLL: Nature of the research is just to find out what's out there, what kind of work they do, how one can support in different ways etc.

Sunshine has already been mentioned but this is a link to their website:
http://www.sunshine-international.org.uk/index.html

The Good Samaritans Home:
http://goodsamaritanluxor.org/about.htm

I think the Fair Trade shops would probably also be a good source of information as they are dealing with local producers and communities who would have more information on local charities/organisations/schemes.
