Help folks?

Post by Ebikatsu »

I need some good ideas folks.

We've been invited to dinner at a friends on Friday and I want to take something home made.

I like cooking and baking and can't for the life of me decide what to do.

So can any of you give me suggestions pleeeeeeeeez!!

Group is 2 Americans, 3 Egyptians, and me the Scot.

Menu is
Chicken Parmesan
Tomato Pasta dish ? spag or penne?
Garlic bread
Olives and pickles etc

Then
home made apple pie with a crumble topping

Now I need to make something that compliments that menu.

Any ideas folks?

I good at most types of cooking like Italian, Indian, Egyptian, Japanese, Chinese, Mexican etc and have all of the spices and things.

I just can't think what will go best :|

Americans would put a mixed green salad with that menu.

My husband likes blue cheese with fig jam, which shocked me because sweet and salty are one of his big hates normally.

I sort of like the jalapeno-cranberry preserves or jam or whatever that you can get around here. Whole Foods always has some setting out to sample with a nice cheddar.
