Radio Stations

Keefy, just checking out the radio stations and I find the following:
Techno4ever = OK
Hits 80s & 90s = OK
Radio Hawana = OK
Radio Cairo = OK
All of these stations are fine and play the video in the window, but the rest of the links say they have loaded, but there is no sound or video.
Not sure what others are getting though.

All are working for me Horus, maybe the BBC server had some problems when you tried, the ones under the ------------- are Egyptian or Arbic stations, some of these do not broadcast 24hr.

No, I have tried them on several occassions and only the ones I listed work when I try them. The ones that do work all show a 'connecting to media' and then a 'buffering' text on the screen before actually playing, but the others that don't work do not show this happening.

They work through media player, i just wonder if some have differnt codec, yet ive now tried them on my pc, an old laptop and netbook and they still worked..

Maybe its cause I have the Klite codec standard pack installed, If you dont have this, its the best codec pack to play all movies mp3's etc. If you want it just search google for Klite codec standard pack Still Im not sure why the BBC radio stations dont play.

Can other members test the radio to see if the BBC stations play.

EVERY channel works fine for me except Quran which shows 'connecting' then 'ready' but no sound or video. Wouldn't worry about that though

PS: Don't ask me any techie questions about 'codecs' or 'media players' because I won't have a clue

I'm more or less the same as Grandad everything works apart from Radio Hawana Cairo & Quran Radio.

Some of the Egyptian or Arabic stations do not broadcast 24hr.

Yep, it seems to be a codex problem, I am doing this reply on my laptop and everything is working OK on this apart for radio Quaran
