BA Workers vote to strike

Post by Horus »

Looks like British Airways workers have just voted for a 12 day strike that will affect the Christmas holidays, bad news for anyone booked to fly with them. :(

But not bad news for the so called cheap airlines by all accounts as according to todays papers people are now booking with them instead of BA.Have just been looking at the salaries that cabin crew get on BA not bad at all in comparison with the like of Virgin.Soon they wont have jobs to go to as BA in dire straits so not the ideal time to strike i would have thought. :?

I saw a little while ago on the news the Head of BA, Irishman, can't remember his name and was quite impressed actually.

He was telling people not to book anything with BA :?

Now that was quite a refreshing change of a lot of heads of companies who always tell you everything will be fine and not to book isn't it :)

Even the presenter commented on that saying 'but it will affect bookings and BA in general' and the guy said I know but I have to be 'honest with the public'.

I was a bit stunned to say the least.
It's rare these day's for these big top guys to tell you anything near the truth.

That's the one :)

Now we were looking at flights on BA for a trip to Scotchland in the New Year a few nights ago

Cairo to Heathrow, then change and Heathrow to Glasgow for 300 odd quid!!

That's a great price considering it's 4 flights and return + taxes ;)
