Woke up this morning to the news there has been an attack on a mall in Nairobi with 159 wounded and 39 killed. The group Al Shebaab claiming responsibility.
Just shaking my head at another tragedy unfolding.
Haven't heard particulars yet but it seems this was designed to be another very public incident designed to definitely attract world attention to targeting non-Muslim people.

Re: Nairobi Attack
Al Shebaab are just another incarnation of a fanatical Muslim group no different to Al Quada, they have almost been eradicated from Somalia their home base and hold the Kenyan Military responsible for a lot of that because they form the most effective part of the African peace keeping force sent in to deal with them. As is usual with these groups they are just murdering fanatics who hold up their religion as a justification for what they are doing, just another example of a religion based upon subjugation and conquest trying to impose itself on the rest of humanity whether they want it or not.

Re: Nairobi Attack
Don't disagree H. The topic I've been listening to this morning is the claim that some of the attackers are from the USA, Canada and the UK. Am sure some of the apparent 15 might have touched down at some time or another in our countries but not too sure we've got Canadians travelling there to engage in an attack on people in malls.
I'm leaning more and more to the notion that we (Western World) are going to have to modify our position on 'equality' and 'fair play' and how we basically respond to terrorists. I'm leaning more and more to giving them a special designation whereby they get absolutely NO RIGHTS. They want all the Justice and Appeal rights we have but do nothing to deserve them.
Terrible situation there in Nairobi. Definitely hope it is resolved quickly with no more loss of life.

Re: Nairobi Attack
Well if the UK is anything to go by LLL we DO have home bred fanatics who go to places such as Pakistan, Iraq, Afghanistan and almost anywhere that they can fight for their deluded cause. The real irony is that they are usually the children of immigrants and are either second or third generation, so it begs the question as to where their loyalties really lie. Is it the country in which they were born, that gave their parents the opportunity to escape the wars or poverty of their original homeland, or is it some deluded ideology and religious fanatics that they owe their allegiance too?
However what sort of disgusting religious beliefs can allow you to line up adults and worst of all children and then murder them if they do not know the name of Mohammed’s mother? only a sick religious ideology can justify that sort of atrocity.
