Canada WON!

Post by LovelyLadyLux »

After 24 yrs Canada via the Toronto Raptors won the National Basketball Association (NBA) championships.

This is the first in team history and the FIRST time the NBA has been won outside the USA. Celebrations abound !!!

The "Party" will go on all weekend. Apparently the Coach has been offered some mega $$$ deal by another team however he has two years left on his Raptors contract.

Not sure what is going on in the rest of the world today as our News has been solely focus'd on this win. WOO HOO!!!

That is a great win LLL :up Congratulations to all concerned.
But The Donald won't like it, you know what he says "America First" ;)
Canada's ladies football team play New Zealand today at 8pm our time, mid day for you. They beat Cameroon in their first match but with New Zealand today and Netherlands next Thursday, they have two tough matches ahead.
I am not a fan of football, mens or womens, but I will always support the home team in any sport. We are through to the next 'knock out' round having won both of our opening matches.
Come on you Lionesses :up
:gg:
