I think perhaps all of us from time to time have engaged in this activity or could it perhaps be called a pass time? What relief we all feel when we do this early morning ........
Each time a new natural history program arrives on TV my wife and I ask the question haven't we seen it all by now ?
I think the simple answer is no!
As technology progresses we are able to get even...

Basically I quite like and enjoy most of the natural history shows. There is always something to learn and research is often on-going providing new and fresh info.
On my return trip home we were both up at 4am and to the Airport by 4:30am. Got checked in ok and got my boarding passes, said goodbye to the daughter and headed through security.
Just back after a week hols in Quebec City. Absolutely beautiful city but the extreme hot weather - high 30ies with high humidity making it feel like the low 40ies. Had one really terrific night time...

That being said seeing that countryside would be absolutely lovely. I...
All day today my Amazon echo has been flashing its top green ring about every 2 seconds. I have no idea why? Anyone else noticing the same thing? If I ask Alexa she tells me to go to some website for...

Yesterday afternoon after the gutter guards went up to get out of the house I went down to the Grocery store to actually see if they had bulk blueberries in yet. I freeze them.
When I came out there...

Yes but as I said, it really didn't mean anything to me so he may have just had ABC on his Roller as he drove past me as it still would not have made me think ooh there goes Alan Michael Sugar
Got this as a forward but thought it quite interesting as I've personally mulled how I can keep an electric car charged here and I've heard it before that we're not going to be equipped...
This about sums up how our present Gov't here is operating. Very sad and disheartening that our Gov't is pandering more to everybody else than to our own Seniors (and Vetrans)...

I don't know the numbers but for a family with 2 or 3 children I am sure it would be about the same. :xx
Again I don't know the numbers but your single person state pension sounds much in line with...
One of the places we visited was ‘Parys Mountain’ located on the island of Anglesey just off the coast of North Wales, this island was also the last refuge and stronghold of the ancient Druids...

I find or found it interesting they were using deer antlers in mining. I wouldn't have thought antlers were hard enough.
I really don't believe we really know as much as we think we do about ancient...
When in the States I went into a Garden Center and bought the last hand sprayer container of Neem Oil. No staff were around to tell me about it and the cashier didn't know...

Technically MD started this one when she went and bought some Begonia tubers. I can't immediately lay eyes on where she started that one so I've opted to start this thread cause today I did go to the...

Thank you MD. It did less than nothing last year and I was quite demoralized about the entire begonia tuber experience. This year I had no expectations other than to throw out the tuber with the soil...
I was really quite impressed by this idea. For the first time it seems an obvious effort was put into fixing something and correcting it vs just trying to TAX us about it. We now have to pay a Carbon...

I quite concur this would be super expensive and we'd need millions of 'em but what I mostly like are the concept ideas. Am more than sure there has to be a solution.

LLL, your post about your visit to the park with the 'crew' reminded me of an item on the TV show The Antiques Roadshow, of 2 June. A first nation Canadian brought along a Totem pole...

I'm aware of the family. Not sure they're all carvers but to learn to carve is common in First Nations Families. You scored a very nice totem there. One of the big ones too! ;)

We are now into the final week of this years 3 week series from The Caingorms in Scotland. I have found this years offerings to be more interesting than usual, perhaps that is because Chris Packham...
