Re: A FLY ON THE WALL
Here it is being reported that Meg & Harry want to be able to financially live by their own means (very vague wording) and so the query here is "will they give up Harry's $$$?" However that being said I can't for a second see M giving up 1 dollar. IMO she wants every red cent she might...

Re: 2020 Gardening
This is this morning here. Not in gardening mode today
This kind of snow here is also super dangerous. It is very light and fluffy but gets super icy fast. Makes for very dangerous driving conditions too

Re: MEGXIT
Here this morning our news is all about Meg & Harry (M&H) and apparently our idiot Prime Minister said Canada would pay for their Security!!! Our News here reports that M&H are leaving the UK because William is a BULLY! Can't personally see it at all and I thought the Queens answer excel...

Re: MEGXIT
Another slightly interesting tidbit - I live(d) on a very safe residential street when I first moved into this place. Then the Province moved in (about 1 mile away) free housing for homeless addicted street people and crime shot up through the roof. This past Christmas season when Meg & Harry we...

Re: So, What's Occurring????
Swans on the marsh again today. It is snowing heavy here so maybe they just stopped in the nearest water hole so as to not have to fly through a blizzard. Hopefully I'll see them again tomorrow. I counted around 6 or 7 of them - hard to get an accurate count when I'm seeing them through the trees. S...

Me and the Pottery Studio
When I was at Pottery Studio for the last session pre-Christmas like Dec 19th cause I happen to get there early and cause nobody else was there for me to talk to I opted to read in the monthly FLYER that the Seniors Not-For-Profit Society who operates there because of some new Gov't regulations (the...

Re: Taxi Rip Off
I don't think I've ever used a taxi here so I Googled the rates online. They strike me as expensive but I have nothing to base my thinking on. I really feel here we are being totally gouged re: Carbon Tax though. Would probably feel better about it if I had a sense of what they're spending the money...

Re: Taxi Rip Off
Here "IF IF IF" you can actually get a taxi (they are notorious for now showing up so you can never depend on them to get to something important) It costs $3.50 (2.05 pounds sterling) on average to open the door to get in and then you pay $2.18 per kilometer (1.27 sterling) thereafter. Dep...

Re: US Air Strike killing Qassem Soleimani
Am in the States right now and found it interesting this afternoon to watch Military helicopters flying over and then landing in quite odd places IN the City. Am back at the hotel now and seeing on TV News that Iran started lobbing missiles at US compounds earlier today. I think Trump WILL (not at d...

Re: Scooters......what's occurring?
The one thing I notice here re: all the people using Scooters is that here they're typically decked out with all manner of flags, storage baskets and sometimes even small pull alongs. Maybe it is cause people here are needing to use them to transport groceries etc.

Re: Australia Fires
I haven't had any more word from my cousin however she was thinking they (her + hubby + child) would be/could be evacuating at any time.
I DID see on FB today that it has rained somewhere in Australia but I only saw it in passing so no idea the impact of this weather on the fires.
