We have enjoyed watching the first 3 seasons of Lucifer. Season 4 coming soon.
I have One Planet on standby to be watched soon.
Netflix is a good alternative to all the other production companies with some very original concepts.
Have you seen Afterlife with Ricky Gervais yet?

Re: Brexit
I think one thing we can agree upon is that the whole situation that developed immediately after David Cameron initiated that referendum in 2016 has changed the face of politics in the UK for ever. What worries me most is the way that the population of the UK has become so polarised. It has brought ...

Re: Brexit
Calls for a public inquiry into Brexit are mounting among diplomats, business figures, peers and MPs, amid claims that the civil service is already planning for a future investigation into how it has been handled. The decision to call the referendum, the red lines drawn up by Theresa May and Britain...

Re: Brexit
Folks, I do care about what happens to my family in the UK and they are all definitely not in favour of leaving the EU. The father of my son's partner was strongly in favour of leaving when the 2016 referendum took place and voted accordingly. It produced interesting discussion at Christmas that yea...

Re: Brexit
I hate to have to say it but attitudes like those expressed above about Remoaners etc is what is wrong with the older sector of the UK. The younger people who will have to bear the long term effects of a Brexit are a much larger percentage of the UK population and they are expressing opinions contra...

Re: Brexit
Not seen much comment on the state of Brexit here recently but last night after TM's little speech I came across this. https://petition.parliament.uk/petitions/241584 Last night it was at around 65,000 but this morning it had already reached 640,000! It seems "the will of the people" is mo...

Re: Clever Techie Stuff
I don't think it has anything to do with GPS. It is more likely to be IP targeting. Whenever you travel abroad and use your laptop on local internet sources you will get targeted advertising based on your location. Google and Amazon use it and I'm sure many others do it. Here in Egypt we get Egyptia...

Re: More camera stuff
Bigken, maybe you did not allow enough time for a full sat. lock to be achieved the first time. It can take a while first time out. That would prevent the auto take off and RTL from being possible. Have you tried programming waypoints yet for a full auto flight? I used to fly manually but did find R...

Re: More camera stuff
Drone flyaways are quite common with new or inexperienced owners. They are often sold mail order as easy to use but few appreciate what is involved in safely operating them and the laws surrounding their use.

Re: More camera stuff
The DJI drones are very easy to fly. It is possible to fly almost completely autonomously. I used to use one here in Egypt for archaeological photography until the security scares in Cairo which put an end to all my flying here. Mine was a carbon fibre Bumblebee I cannot get image upload to work. I ...

Re: More camera stuff
Hey Grandad. Just checking in and saw you post. You are not alone. Interesting regarding your comments on the action camera. I got one just before we went over to El Gouna back in September. A Crosstour 1080P wifi. No real chance to experiment with it in advance but our son's partner used it underwa...

Re: Exposing Danny Dyers Myth
Interesting thread. However the proximity of the UK to the rest of Europe opens up much greater scope. My father made a study of our family tree back in the early 1980's. I think he got back to the early 18th Century before the family line on my mothers side branched out from Essex to a French blood...

Just to make you all feel a bit better or maybe jealous. Fran and I went up to the roof of the Thebes Hotel at lunchtime. An excellent wide ranging menu and our choices were delicious. The view across to the mountain today was absolutely stunning. Crystal clear air as far as you could see and a bril...

Re: What's Grandad got to talk about?
Grandad, we still plan to overwinter in Luxor. Late October to beginning of April is scheduled for this winter. Last winter in France while I was having my medical treatment was pretty nasty as we had one of the worst winters on record! As it cools now my joints are beginning to ache. We definitely ...
