Re: Strikes and juries
............just a reminder of your opinions, but thankfully blind justice, after almost 30 years comes shinning through, yet there is still one certain ex government minister who is still evading prosecution.

Re: Strikes and juries
Can we draw a line under this please? Yes Grandad, I think we can. It is evident here that this person has never lost a love one, so it's impossible for that person to understand that you can not truly bury that person until you know the real truth of how they died and the truth behind all those li...

Re: Strikes and juries
I do so agree with you LLL, but please understand, so many on Tuesday were finally allowed to bury their loved ones with the dignity they deserved, such a vile comment, even if justified, was for any other day.

Re: Strikes and juries
Although it is very rare for me to comment on this site, I have always viewed it as the friendly site, but I feel I should make comment here. Yes, Jayway can have that opinion of the families who lost their loved ones all those years ago, yes, it can be put down to that persons ignorance, or even st...

Re: WILL TURKEY SOON BE OFF THE HOLIDAY LIST?
Strange it may sound but, tonight on the BBC six o'clock news here in the U.K. they inform us that Brent Crude oil has dropped to its lowest level in yonks, being $88 a barrel, of course they blame the present economical climate here in Europe, though, I must add here that they informed us that the ...

Re: WILL TURKEY SOON BE OFF THE HOLIDAY LIST?
This is a bit of an aside but one thing that does seem to hold true is that whomever ends up ruling in the Middle East is typically ruthless and doesn't worry about sparing the sword. I don't want to say blood thirsty as I don't believe the leader there lust for blood however they don't give it a s...

Re: WILL TURKEY SOON BE OFF THE HOLIDAY LIST?
And it seems that some tribal leaders in Iraq who were sympathetic to the ISIS cause are now changing their allegiance to the Iraqi Government. So how can you know who your friends are when opinions can change so quickly? Turkey still keeps to its side of the border with Syria especially as the Kur...

Re: WILL TURKEY SOON BE OFF THE HOLIDAY LIST?
In the past week the main supermarkets in the U.K. have reduced the petrol price by 5p a litre, which is un-thinkable, very little publicity, being that the government usually take the credit for any reduction. I have quite good contacts in the oil industry, and I can tell you that fracking is alrea...

Re: WILL TURKEY SOON BE OFF THE HOLIDAY LIST?
As I have written in the past on the 'sister' forum the whole of the Middle East could quite easily become a total 'back water' very soon, the need for oil in the West becomes less by the day, it seems, we only have to look at the present levels of the price of oil. The difficulty now arises, as Gra...

Re: Frack Off
I am not sure where I read it, but according to form those that are affected by the fracking thing, but they will get a generous allowance while this is in progress, plus 1% of the profits, what ever that meant. A couple of years ago, I had a house in the East End of London. One bright sunny morning...

Re: Multiple Wives and Welfare
Oh so very true Horus, I fear that this new man at the Bank has been brought in as a political pawn to serve the present government, so bang goes the so called independence of the Bank. This man should should raise interest rate NOW, so that if everything around him crashes, he would still hold a le...

Re: Multiple Wives and Welfare
The Banks want your money, but are unwilling to give anything in return: Actually that's not true, the general banks are getting their money cheaper than they can ever offer you or I, from the central bank being the Bank of England, under a scheme called Quantative Easing (QE), where people in Brit...

Re: Multiple Wives and Welfare
Ah the old means tested, again here this depends on what they call 'under the old rules', for old claimants this will apply. With regards your comment on State Pensions Horus, I have about five or perhaps seven years to go, it is my belief that within that time this pension will become means tested,...

Re: Multiple Wives and Welfare
The problem in Britain, is quite simple, the term benefit, as far as the older people see it, really means charity, the various governments here over the years, have used this term vigorously. For example when you pay into a national insurance system, you become ENTITLED to claim on that such policy...

Re: Multiple Wives and Welfare
I would be aware of many of the political headlines, that really have no substance, which are coming out at the moment. There is an important debate going on with regards the European Union, and whether the benefits out way the costs of membership. Then again, there are always two sides of an argume...

Re: MY KINDLE BOOKS
I like the idea of these Kindle things especially around a pool in Luxor, where I see so many these days, though I have to admit, I still use the old tape machine, where some one is telling you the story. I love the political biographies, of the person telling you of their past lives. My favourite h...

Would not like to comment on the drug as prescribed, however, I would have a word or two with one of the best pharmacists in Luxor, who would probably advice a, shall we say, more up to date drug. With regards to Omega 3 capsules, seems to confirm what you have already stated about your diet, this m...

Good to see you back Keefy. With regards the ciggis, don't drink tea or anything to do which you associate with them, I know you don't do the booze, so that a good thing, but now is the time to put away that crap Chinese bike and do positive walking to stimulate the heart etc, etc. Best Wishes, A-Fo...
