Covid
Am sure y'all are sick and tired of all there is know about Covid, the Variants etc however how has it been affecting you in your neck of the woods? When it started in early 2020 was in Mexico and remember being more than nervous coming through Vancouver Internation Airport en route home. Initially ...

Re: Seasons Greetings Everyone
Seasons Greetings, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all. My holiday season was quite quiet as we were totally and completely snowed in here for close to 3 weeks. Didn't get to see the family and Grandkids until the 27th and even then it was for 1 hour as the Son-in-law needed to get them all ba...

Re: New Year, New Genealogy search
Studying past ancestors can be interesting and an interesting hobby. I find I don't seem to have the consistent time to sit down and do it. I have through FB found a few relatives I never knew existed though. Best of luck with your search - hope you can find some ancestors who were explorers or pers...

Re: Is everybody getting vaccinated?
Way cool. Canada was incredibly slow in getting vaccines so we're in a mad scramble now to get the country vaccinated. I was first, front and center for my age group and just had my 2nd vaccine a week ago so one more week to go and it should be fully into my system. Our vaccine centers are full with...

Is everybody getting vaccinated?
The only "news" and it is hardly new is that Covid struck and multi lockdowns, slowdown, upside downs etc happened to life.
Vaccines are slowly flowing forth here - hoping everybody everywhere else has gotten theirs and life is returning to a new normal.

Re: Spring again (Part 2)
Love french lilacs and I do hope your tree survives and comes back strong. Here lilacs grow in a somewhat tall, lanky, scraggly manner and will also send out lots of shoots. I bought a small one from a nursery about 3 yrs ago called a Korean Lilac. This is the first year it bloomed. It is a small bu...

Re: Spring again (Part 2)
Looking good I was out all this morning shearing back the heather. Did one set last week and did the other side of the wall this morning. They do get scraggly and imo look niced kept roundish and mounded over. Probably should have clipped them back sooner when I first planted them but ho-hum done no...

Re: Are you all bored yet?
Am not quite bored yet but it is getting close. Here on the Island we've only ever had 126 cases and have only had 1 new one in the last 8 days. We're still under all sorts of 'rule' however we will be entering Phase 2 come Tuesday when shops will be allowed to re-open, surgeries are re-scheduled (G...

Re: Hello again
Interesting photos Grandad Definitely a difference. It is about the same here. Everybody staying inside. All our Grocery stores are allowing Seniors to shop 7am to 8am but they're also counting how many people go into the store as they're only allowed so many inside at any given time. We're apparent...

Re: How are you keeping one and all?
We're doing ok here on the Island although the Covid-19 is here. All schools are closed 'til further notice, most restaurants and retailers are closed or closing too. The big grocery stores were basically shopped out within the first couple of days but seem to be re-stocking now. The Gov't made a ma...

Re: Good Luck but not Goodbye
That is SUPER sized for an amaryllis bulb. I've seen big ones but I'd guess that is easily double the biggest I've seen. Wonder what they'll do when they actually flower?

Truly always amazing the talents that some people have. Jive dancing to 'vibrations' would be super interesting.

Re: T.V. Subtitles
Not exactly an answer to your question but of my two daughter one could touch an instrument and then play it whilst the other daughter couldn't make a proper musical note happen - however she could 'feel' the music and dance dance dance whilst the music playing daughter had lead feet.......go figure...
